The Spiritual Benefits of Reading a Bible Verse a Day
Imagine life without reading the Bible. What are the ramifications of not doing so as much as possible? Can a person get encouraged or discouraged when not staying in the Word? Will people notice a change if it is done much?
When reading God’s Holy Word, the person will get transformed from the inside out, and those that are self-aware will definitely see it. For example, if he or she reads John 3:16-17, then the individual will know immediately that they are loved and adopted into the kingdom of God. After all, He did not come to condemn but to save the world through Him. Another instance is reading Jeremiah 29:11 or Psalm 23, one will learn quickly that God has amazing plans for those who trust in Him, and that he or she has nothing to fear.
The Bible is very encouraging to anyone who reads it. He or she learns how to pray effectively, or how God’s Word is helps him or her to see the parallels from the Old and New Testament with there relevance to today. One is taught how to study the various languages through the Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek in order to understand it better through word or inductive studies.
As one can tell, by just reading one verse a day, the individual grows immensely spiritually. He or she will never remain the same again, which makes it all worth it.
